A rooflight forms part of the roof above an interior space. A glass canopy may cover a terrace or passage. Their building connections and insulation requirements differ, so the construction is selected for the intended use.
Our separate all-glass offering includes canopies with laminated glass beams. This is considered as a distinct solution, rather than assuming that every glass canopy uses the same construction as a structural-glazing rooflight.

Each photograph shows a particular realised solution. Its dimensions, construction and details are not automatically suitable for another building; the specification is developed for the new project.
Information needed before design
Provide the opening dimensions, roof plan, slope and roof build-up, together with the project location. The design must consider supports, drainage, installation access and connections to the roof covering.
The thermal properties of a glazing unit and those of a complete construction are different matters. Required parameters are specified for the particular project. Glass & Wood provides design and manufacturing; GW Home provides construction and installation within the agreed scope.
